English Department Welcomes Three Members to Teaching Staff

In the fall semester, the English Department faculty will be welcoming three new members:

Christopher Warren, Assistant Professor of English

Christopher comes to us from the University of Chicago, where he was a Harper-Schmidt Fellow and Collegiate Assistant Professor of Humanities. He will be teaching Shakespeare: Comedies and Romances, Angels and Diplomats, Renaissance Poetry from Wyatt to Milton, and Renassiance Internationalism.

Adam Hodges, AW Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow

Adam comes to us from the University of Colordao where he did his doctoral work in linguistics with an interdisciplinary focus grounded in linguistic anthropology, sociolinguistics and discourse studies. He has taught at Stanford University (Linguistics Department), the University of Colorado (Linguistics Department and Program for Writing and Rhetoric), and Colorado State University (Anthropology Department). 

Ludmila Hyman, Postdoctoral Associate

Ludmila will be spending this year with us after having spent two years as a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. Her research area is the rhetoric of understanding, with a focus on the political rhetoric of Hannah Arendt and the scientific rhetoric of Vygotsky, Luria and Leont'ev.
